In most cases, this type of welding is used for maintenance work and gas metal cutting processes. It is mainly used on soft metals such as copper and bronze. However, in recent years, it has increased in popularity and is often used in steel mills.

It is advisable to start with arc welding, which is the easiest to master even at home without having an expert there to guide you.
